The World Health Organization (WHO) sponsors Anti-Tobacco Day, also known as World No Tobacco Day, as a global campaign to increase public awareness of the negative health impacts of tobacco use and to promote effective tobacco control measures.
The theme for this year is “We Need Food, Not Tobacco.”
More than 8 million people each year die from tobacco-related diseases, including 1.2 million people who have never smoked tobacco but are nonetheless indirectly impacted by its effects.
Any sort of tobacco use is hazardous and has a number of negative effects on our health.
Cigarettes & Smokeless The chance of developing malignancies such as lung, mouth, gastrointestinal tract, bladder, respiratory tract, and pancreatic cancer rises when a person uses tobacco.
On this Tobacco day, I would like to share an important message. Please don’t chew and spit, as both habits cause numerous diseases.
Until you are ready to quit this habit, I encourage you to use the ekPehel Spit Cup for spitting.
Additionally, let’s try to avoid open spitting as it not only saves our country from spreading viruses but also helps us maintain cleanliness and avoid the red spots associated with open spitting.
Moreover, I believe that the government should take initiatives to create similar infrastructure like Public Toilets for open spitting in all public locations.
This will go a long way in helping us maintain cleanliness and promote a healthier environment for everyone.
Let’s come together and spread awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco.
Together, we can create a tobacco-free future where we prioritize our health and well-being over harmful habits.
Join us in supporting World No Tobacco Day and let’s make a positive impact on our lives and the lives of others.
